Working alongside the forward-thinking Verena, Marketing Manager Oceania at SMA Australia, Brand Dimensions tackled an intriguing challenge: how to showcase a 20-foot container housing an inverter without the logistical complexities [and exhorbitant cost] of international transport. The solution? A pioneering 1:1 scale 3D-projection mapping that transformed the conventional into something memorable.
Through collaboration with specialist partners at Pixall, the team crafted an immersive spectacle: a 20-foot white box emerging from a projection wall, springing to life through animations that revealed the sophisticated technology beneath its steel exterior. This world-first for SMA didn't just display their product - it created an unforgettable brand experience that stopped visitors in their tracks.
Continuing the theme of stretching boundaries, the following year, Brand Dimensions elevated the narrative even further. Building on the success of the 1:1 scale 3D-projection mapping, the project evolved into a cohesive digital brand story that was designed to further connect with the audience’s curiosity. In collaboration with Chocolate Studio, a new digital activation was born.
This phase focused on digital innovation, transforming the exhibition into an omnichannel experience that brought the core of SMA’s business solutions to life. Working closely with Verena and SMA’s global marketing team, Chocolate Studio developed a virtual narrative that expanded beyond the physical space we created. The solution leveraged cutting-edge digital production tools, creating an important asset for SMA that can be re-used anywhere in the world.
